We Made It!!

We made it here safely...it was supposed to be a 10 hour drive but we stopped halfway in Grand Junction to split it up a bit. We stayed in a dive of a hotel...never trust pictures on the internet of a hotel!!! We were very disappointed but it was only one night and I learned a good lesson. The weather when we got here was freezing cold...then today it was really warm and then I hear tomorrow we can expect snow!!! I also hear they have gotten snow randomly until July...that's craziness. I really miss St. George weather. The biggest plus here is the pool at the clubhouse. That alone gives us something to do at least once a day, as long as it's not snowing!! On our way here about 20 minutes out we passed a huge I'm talkin' huge outlet mall, can't wait to get there one of these days. Thanks to my trusty GPS I can find my way around pretty well .

Our Trip

Our trip was so much fun!!! We got to go to Sea World, San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park and hit the beach also. The boys loved Sea World so much...Isaiah loved the bat rays that you can touch. They feel so silky. If you've been to Sea World then you know what water rollercoaster I'm talking about...Isaiah really wanted to go so what's a mother to do but provide experiences for her children right?? Well we all went...and were laughing hysterically throughout and after when we saw the picture they took we laughed so hard we cried. This picture has got to be the worlds best rollercoaster picture ever!! Mike took Isaiah in the front and I had my 6 year old neice with me and my sister Summer and 3 year old Halle sat last. The look of shear terror on the kids faces when we came down the huge drop was indescribable. My scanner won't work or I'd post it...just use your most creative imagination!! We saw every show and at the Shamu show Isaiah and Mike begged to sit in the soak zone so crazy as it was. Let me notify you there were plenty of seats to be had and yes it's called a soak zone for a reason. At the zoo it was a ton a walking and the highlight there was the kids area and we loved the Apes I actually had one mimicking me running from one end of the glass to the other over and over...the kids got a kick out of that one. I don't know why but I have a thing for Hippos they were my favorite. The pandas were neat too there was a new baby that was pretty adorable. The beach was another highlight. It was pretty cold so we didnt' do swimwear, hence the sweatshirts. I can't describe Joshuas face when we put him down in the sand he absultely loved it. All in all it was beautiful weather and everything was fantastic and we can't wait for our next vacation.

Our Trip--What a blast!!!

Our New Adventure

I guess it's time I blog the news....April Fools Day Mike came home from work with bizarre news and I reassured him I knew it was April fools day ha ha but he was really serious. Things have been going on at work that he's just not comfortable with so he told me he and his manager were going to walk away. So they did and we started sending out resumes and got a job offer in North Carolina which we were totally prepared to take. Totally meaning----we were suppose to leave the next Tuesday and had packed everything we were going to need, getting ready to pack it all in our car for our car to be shipped out there. Well he got a call (almost just as I was finishing) with an offer to go to Colorado Springs for the Summer and he felt really good about it and it so happens that the date to leave was the same. Needless to say I'm exausted emotionally having to make such quick decisions but it has been incredible how smooth things have happened. We will be leaving April 24th. and be back in September. What an Adventure!!!!

This is Deborah Fotheringham if you haven't heard of her. She and I met when we moved across the street from her in American Fork when I was two. We were best friends until I moved to St. George. I thought I'd put a plug in for her because she has made an amazing music career for herself and of course I am a huge fan. She writes all of her own music and plays guitar and sings. She's so talented!! She has a song on my playlist at the bottom of my page but check out her website debrafotheringham.com Love ya Deb!!

Up and Running

Can I just say how excited I am to finally be part of the blogging world!! I don't know what took me so long. I'm figuring out the ins and outs of doing things quicker but until I figure some things out with my pictures you get to look at old pictures of the boys. To any of you who have thought twice about doing a blog just do it but with fair warning....it's so addicting. So....Welcome and check back often. Happy Blogging!!!
**Mardi--- enjoy the music ;)
