Grannyween

I bought the boys matching ninja costumes thinking I'd be right on the money...that they'd love them. Well Isaiah humored me and wore it.

Joshua refused and insisted on, not Mario (like we did last year) but FIRE Mario.

Miss pumpkin Alayna loved trick or treating. Her little feet just kicked the whole time as we strolled along. The even weight distribution of her fat pumpkin suit aided her well for walking.

I even got into the fun for our primary party this year. As a presidency we normally go as a theme but we ran out of ideas. This is what I came up with.

Complete with knee highs, my moms orthopedic shoes (they were really comfy :)) some pillows in the rear and ALOT of stuffing up top.

The boys laughed all night at me and kept bringing their friends to see their 'Grandma.' Poor Alayna hated me in it. I had to hand her off to our neighbor girl for the rest of the party...she was not a fan.

Fishin'

For Mike's birthday the boys wanted to get him a license so he could take them. Remind you I actually bought him a pole for Father's Day. It has sat for 4+ years all the while the boys have been begging to go. So we got the boys fishing poles for Mike's birthday haha and Mike a tackle box and we were set for the day. We headed to Pine Valley and made a day of it.

Some incredibly beautiful scenery and I just sat with little Alayna and enjoyed the whole time.

Joshua was actually the first one to catch a fish and DANG I didn't get it on camera. When he realized there was a fish on the end he all out chucked his pole back in the water and screamed like a little girl "It's gonna eat me" I was dying laughing so hard I was crying. Even now its making me chuckle thinking about it.

At one point Isaiah found a crazy huge grasshopper he was determined to get it on the end of his hook.
Grasshopper guts.
Gross.

We've been 5 times in 3 weeks. I say 'we' which means I fully support them leaving me at the house alone for a few hours. It's the newest hobby of theirs (ours) :)

Gunlock

Wow! I've held on to these pictures. We took the kids on Pioneer Day. Umm, I may be a bit behind.

Cousins came down from Layton and we made it a day on the Beach (ROCKS, actually) with some seriously yummy food.

Alayna's sporting her patriotic swimwear and her adorable-ness sitting like a big girl in my chair watching the kids swim.

Someone else liked the hat too!

The boys didn't hesitate. I did however, other than the picture I supply for you to see of course...have them in life jackets. Wow I'm a safety first kind of mom I guess :)

The reason behind the excellent food. My man. He's a master grillman.

Okay I do have a picture with a life jacket....PROOF!

Thanks to Brad, Kresta, Blake, Breann and little Brady for the excellent idea.

Family Pics

I'm giving a HUGE shout out one of the best, most talented friends in the world!!! Elsie Walker took our family pictures (again) this year.

She was in town from Wisconsin and had nothing but her camera so we grabbed furniture, frames, and mirrors from my house to use as props and drug it all down to her Grandpas farm.

I'm completely in love with them!

Here, take a looksie for yourself and see what you think.

I can't wait to start my family picture wall now! Thanks again Els!

Yoga Master

This little squirt is getting so close to crawling. She does a yoga 'plank' and will hold it forever! The boys never did this. It's hilarious and she can totally hold it longer than me.

She started doing it and 6 months.

Perfect form Honey! I give it a 10!

Now she's 7 1/2 months and does it to get up on her knees.

One of these days (I hope not too soon) she'll take off.

And one more for the cute factor.

Last picture with this gummy smile because her first tooth popped through yesterday!

Lil' Goofs

I try to take pictures of Alayna at her month birthday for scrapbooking sake and seriously NEVER take a picture of the girl without one of the boys jumping in.

Here she is.

and oh.... who is it this time? Oh well at least he's cute.

She was sitting playing with her binkies (she seriously has like nine) and the boys were totally making her laugh with them in their mouths (I know, I sanitized them after) Every time I'd try to get her attention with her binky in she'd spit it out. We were all laughing at her.

One more of the best silly face maker you've ever seen.

and finally the picture I actually wanted. She's six months here.

Are you laughing at her hair? It's actually getting pretty long and it's curly and when it dries it goes all Astro Boy on us. We get a kick out of it.

Mud Monster

I get so tired of TV, Wii and computer time and I'm always saying to 'go do something productive'. I don't know that this is the productive category but it difinitly did the job of occupying alot of time. Mike got out with them and dug the flippin thing in the dead of the afternoon heat.

We have a backyard of dirt that has yet to be landscaped. Hopefully for not much longer but for now it is the best dang mud pit you ever did see!
Can you even spot a little boy in there?

Oh there he is.

We finally coaxed clean little Joshua in too. But we had already put the camera away.

I'm realizing that it is about four times that big with canals connecting each 'pond'. They have done some work I guess.

I went and got boat kits from Michaels and had them build them to play with and still four days later they still go out and play for quite a while. And the group of mud monsters grows . Where there are little boys there are little boys' friends. Sorry to their moms. At least I make them take their shirts off! Would you shoot me if it was your child?

Book worms

First of all don't be fooled that this happens often. In fact it is why I grabbed the camera in the first place. It was too sweet for pass up. For little boys anyway. I do love that Isaiah can read really well now and Joshua asks him to read to him sometimes.

To make the mushy factor even better...they're reading Winnie the Pooh.

We do read for a little while every night. When Mike is home they always want him to read to them instead. This night was another sweet moment to me.
