Speaking of manly...

The other night I had some friends over for a girls night. We found such an awesome salad recipe...I'll post the recipe. Mike loves to cook and he is becoming famous for it. That night he made us chocolate mousse filled crepes with white chocolate and raspberry sauce. He even shaved chocolate over top. And seriously they were De. Lish. So I got a picture of him just so I could scrapbook it later.

Isaiah has girl cousins. This said, he gets dragged into some pretty cute stuff. Tonight though it was too funny not for pictures. They come out in the leotards, Before they came out their oldest daughter yells "We're coming out in our 'retards' " We were dying laughing. He has the most chickeny chicken legs. And I didn't realize HOW skinny he really is. He even had a rhinestone heart on the front...Sooo manly. He is a pretty good little gymnast though.

After the muscle shots Joshua jumped in so here are some funny pics of him too...

Now He's Shaving

Loves to shave...just like Dad. He loves the way he smells after. So do I. I let him use my rubber razor that I use when I nair...I know it's pink. He doesn't care. It must be more manly to shave than to be seen using a pink razor.

I dread the day he gets hairy and stinky.

He's 6!!

A childs concept of a year is a LOOONG time...a year between each birtday why does it take so long. I hope he enjoys his childhood a short a time as it really is. Don't grow up too fast on me Isaiah, I love your little boy-ness!

For his birthday we did a family party...friend parties every single year are just too much for me! So we took him and his cousins to Jumpin Jacks which I didn't take my camera for but it was so much fun that me and my sister joined in and had races through the obstacle courses. I still have burns from the blow up jump houses on my elbows that are healing.

He has been on a bug bash for a while now and a few days ago he and his cousins found a worm. So his birthday cake became a dirt 'n worms cake which was kind of for me. I love oreos and gummy worms. That the liberty I get to take as the mom.

The bow and arrow has been a hit! And the fireman stuff Grandma got him has walkie talkie's. They've come in handy when we play hide and seek outside at night in the back yard with flashlights.

He's 3 Yippy!

He's 3 Finally! His two year was NOT the funnest...he's got a serious ummm personality that's what I'll call it. This next year can only get better, right?

Mike took the day off and after Isaiah went to school we took him for a day out with us. It only lasted as long as a picnic at the 'red' park and then he was tuckered and came home for a nap. He chose pizza for dinner so we got Papa Murpheys to make us a #3 pizza. Then we had Spiderman cake and called it a night!

You can tell how much fun he had! This shot shows it all!

Crazy Fun!!

Does it seem like every year there are more Halloween parties that come up?? I think we got in our costumes like four different times. I am however glad we get good use of our costumes.

No pictures of Joshua, he refused to get in costume, let alone get his face painted...so much for the work I spent making his costume...maybe next year.

This is me and two of our primary presidency...our president is from Korea and had some authentic Korean dresses and I got a wig and Voila!

Isaiah was Captain Jack Sparrow without the wig, so really just a pirate. This is at his school costume parade. The only picture I took of him in costume.

Halloween this year was really memorable. We had some of my adorable neices and nephews here and we had all kinds of crazy fun. After trick or treating they came back for a sleepover and Mike had a brilliant idea. Get out my old make up case and let them have a ball...and they did. So they grabbed my wig and that was the beginning...Their whole family dressed as all the character from Napoleon Dynamite...so they labeled him La Fonda.

This picture of my nephew shows how much fun they had! It was hysterical to watch! Mike played the part entirely...the kids were cracking up!

Fingernails and all!!

What a cRazY FuN night!

Kolob Ride

Anyone who knows me well knows that there are two things that make me who I am. Violin being one passion, the other the majestic horse. I've been riding a lot lately with a friend and have felt my life be more fulfilling because of it. Horses help complete who I am. When we go we always forget the camera but not this time...and what better place to go with a big group than to Kolob Mountain in the fall when all the leaves are changing. It was truly a dreamy site. The weather was perfect, the horses got worked REALLY hard, and all of our rears are severely sore. It was truly a great day!

Amazing eh? I feel like I'm living my childhood dreams. So lucky!

Child of the Corn

Corn was ready to be picked...YUM!! Joshua loved running up and down the rows of corn. He even picked every ear himself. ++important note++ Homegrown corn usually always has a worm in each ear. DO NOT leave out on the counter over night. It will result in creepy crawly catapillers making their way around your house and on your rugs...they blend in and may be stepped on. Yuck!!
